Aperitivo is a family-run business providing you with a new way of eating in a surrounding of relaxing, 1940’s-inspired décor. L’aperitivo, as it’s known in Italy, originated in Milan and has spread throughout the whole country, quickly becoming a much-loved part of Italian culture. And now it has arrived to Aberdeen! Traditionally, l’aperitivo was an opportunity to catch up with friends, unwind after a long day and indulge one’s appetite with an aperitif : a glass of wine or a beer, while snacking on some home-made local dishes. Aperitivo has taken those principles and provided a new way of eating. We introduced a Sicilian twist to the Scottish tradition, with our menu offering a wide selection of freshly prepared dishes, in order to give you a taste of southern Italy while using the best local produce. We create dining to suit your appetite – enjoy a dish or two for lunch, have a quick snack, or create your own mezze-style meal to complement a bottle of wine. You choose!

“EXCELLENT ITALIAN RESTAURANT” The Aperitivo is an authentic Italian restaurant located just off Union Street in Aberdeen. It is a family run restaurant which provides excellent service and outstanding Italian food at reasonable prices. The restaurant has a spacious indoor dining area as well as an al fresco pavement dining area. It is spotlessly clean and has a very relaxed atmosphere. The restaurant has a very reasonably priced and extensive menu. They have lunch, early evening and pre-theatre menus as well as a daily specials board. They also have an extensive wine list. We have visited this restaurant on a number of occasions normally to meet up with relatives who initially recommended it to us. Every meal we have had in this restaurant has been absolutely stunning and cooked to perfection. Michael and his staff are always very friendly and attentive and the service has been impeccable during all our visits. In my opinion the Aperitivo is the best Italian restaurant in Aberdeen and it goes without saying that I would highly recommend it to others as it is the one that I intend to use during all my future visits to Aberdeen
